HOW TO BE PRODUCTIVE
Now that I got your attention with that title, it’s time to dismantle this concept of productivity.
You do not have to be productive to be valuable. I’m going to say it again…”YOU DO NOT NEED TO BE PRODUCTIVE TO BE VALUABLE.”
You were already valuable before producing anything for a job, a business, .
Hustle culture says
“If you really want it, you must prove it through constant visible effort.”
“If I slow down or rest, I’ll lose momentum or fall behind.”
Then why do I feel so …..?
Useless? Un-inspired? Miserable? Unfulfilled?
A big part of the reason you feel so *enter description here* is not because you aren’t working hard enough, it’s because you don’t produce….anything, ever. You do not fulfill your innate potential—to create.
Creativity is not meant for exploitation, but it is a gift to be shared with the world. It is a natural birthright.
The times when I fall into “depression”, I would endlessly scroll on social media, spending hours watching people live their lives, all the while forgetting to live mine.
I’ve always felt like my best self when I was spending time doing something meaningful.
Time is so precious. Stop wasting it!
So what’s really stopping you from reaching this creative spark to be able to produce..anything…is
Allow yourself to be BORED
Step away from the iPAD. Put the phone down. There's something about the pre-tech days that made life so much more colorful and fulfilling. There wasn’t any distractions. The best times came from boredom..not knowing what to do. So you pick up your pencil and begin to draw the imaginations on a piece of paper. You pick up your legos and begin to put the pieces together. Or maybe you and your siblings decide to have a cooking contest..creating the most disgusting concoctions known to man. There is greatness in boredom. Learn how to free yourself of noise and distraction.
Try something new
Experiment. Spark interest and curiosity.
