The Beginning of You
Are you someone who seeks a deeper understanding of life? Questions like where we come from, why we're here, the purpose of life, and even our own personal purpose, arise in many of us. I believe there's a source that is greater than ourselves. So, why is this important when starting your self-love journey?
In order to know yourself, I believe you must first know why you were created. This fundamental understanding can act as a compass, guiding you through life's uncertainties. When you're connected to your purpose, you're less likely to be swayed by external pressures or societal expectations. Knowing your "why" empowers you to make choices that align with your authentic self, fostering a deep sense of self-love and fulfillment. It's about recognizing your unique role in the grand tapestry of existence and embracing the beauty and potential that comes with it.
What is Spirituality?
Spirituality is essential for self-healing, fostering a strong sense of connection to something greater than ourselves. Many on this spiritual journey seek the meaning of life, something beyond the constructs society has built for us. I believe this structure and system was carefully designed to remove our true identity, dignity, respect, and uniqueness – our physical manifestation of all that God is. We are the physical manifestation of God's essence.
Simply put, our foundation matters. If it's built on shaky grounds, we're prone to fall and crumble. Believing we're just a collection of atoms, existing by chance, suggests life is without purpose. This leads to the question: does anything truly matter? Do people, our emotions, and the feelings of others? Would justice and love even be important? If we start with this foundation, it's easy to live as if we don't matter. We lose self-regard, and these beliefs will subconsciously manifest in our actions – how we treat others, ourselves, and how we allow others to treat us.
But what if we believed in something more superior? What if we began to understand that we are created in the image of this source and that our attributes, feelings, intellect, and conscience came from somewhere? If we looked at ourselves the way that it was intended for us to see ourselves, and not how others see us, our lives would have much more meaning. To know that we are known individually and created with thought and intent would give us the validation that we often seek from other people. To know that in our time of need, we are not truly alone and have all the tools needed to flourish in this life makes a heck of a difference.
